The problem with standalone machines
Turning waste plastic into feedstock for pelletizing is not a single crushing step. Large hard waste — plastic pallets, buckets, cables, pipes — typically needs shredding, then crushing, then conveying and collection before entering the next process.
When each step uses a standalone machine, manual feeding, material transfer, and equipment connection become ongoing problems. Output pellet size is inconsistent, and loading efficiency is low.

Shredding and crushing in one line
Many recycling companies still process plastic waste with separate machines. Material is fed manually, shredded, transferred, and crushed. Different machines require manual transfer, adding steps and producing inconsistent pellet size.
TerruMash's plastic waste shredding and crushing line combines a shredder, crusher, conveying equipment, and cyclone collection system. Plastic waste enters the line, is pre-treated by the shredder into relatively uniform blocks, then conveyed to the crusher for finer processing. The cyclone collection system collects the finished material.
The shredding, crushing, conveying, and collection steps are connected, reducing manual transfer and smoothing transitions between stages. The line targets plastic pallets, buckets, cables, and hard plastics as pre-treatment before pelletizing.
For recycling companies, stable continuous operation matters more than individual machine specifications. TerruMash's approach stabilizes front-end material handling and provides relatively uniform feedstock for downstream pelletizing.
Single-shaft shredder for mixed soft and hard material
Not all waste suits direct crushing. Film, woven bags, and nylon mixed with ABS, PC, plastic housings, and pipes present very different material states. The machine must shred while minimizing jamming and blocking.
TerruMash's single-shaft shredder is designed for this. It uses a special steel welded body, V-shaped rotor, and hardened gear reducer drive, shredding material through high torque and low speed. The structure suits large, mixed soft and hard waste. Material is torn and cut by the rotor and blades, then enters downstream crushing.
Crusher for final particle size
After shredding, waste plastic becomes relatively uniform blocks. For pelletizing, further crushing is usually needed.
TerruMash's crusher handles fine plastic crushing. The body uses a rigid structure. Moving and fixed blades are wear-resistant alloy. Shearing between blades processes shredded plastic blocks. A screen adjusts output pellet size per downstream requirements. For plastic housings, pipes, and pallets, shredding before crushing reduces the load on the crusher, while screen control produces more uniform pellet size.
From single machine to customized line
TerruMash's product range includes single-shaft shredders, dual-shaft shredders, and dual-roller shredders. Equipment can be combined and configured to material type, throughput, and downstream processing requirements.
Different customers process different waste: pallets and buckets, cables and pipes, or mixed industrial plastics. Raw material size, hardness, and contamination differ, so shredding, crushing, and conveying equipment requirements differ.
